I’m really excited to see all your amazing maps in one location Todd! Will you be featuring material from your time at Wizards of the Coast or Green Ronin or just original and Adventureaweek.com stuff?
I will not be showing anything that is property of someone else unless I have permission. However, good news, my good friend Chris Pramas of Green Ronin has given me permission to use maps from our Cartographica book of maps he published for me a few years ago.
Chris is a good guy, I met him while we were both working at Wizards of the Coast. By allowing me to use these maps, I can present them as much lighter than the print version. In the print version, the paper was saturated with ink on both sides and made some maps appear too dark, but now they will be bright and revealed to the world as I intended them to be seen! Stay tuned!
Thank you! This will be new stuff from adventureaweek.com, and I will also be creating never before seen maps too. Also, I will be releasing all my maps from the printed version of Todd Gamble’s Cartographic.
Fun stuff!
Now this was a vacuum in the community, ever since the Wizards slammed the doors on their site, the whole maps of mystery feature has been sorely missed. Excellent Todd, have already bookmarked the site
Todd was the guy drawing up most of those maps you would find on WOTC map-a-week! Now he’s got his own site effectively cutting out the middle man! (HASBRO in this case)
Well, I’m not intentionally trying to cut out a middle man.
I just loved doing those maps in the good old days. I want to do more of them and to show them off to people who appreciate them and my sense of imagination.
Thank you Jonathan. I have been doing alot of maps for Adventureaweek.com
Those guys are demanding! I hear they pump out a new adventure every WEEK!
Thanks Guys! None of these maps will be from WOTC, these are all new maps and environs! Many will be from the cartographic archives of Adventureaweek.com, our other site for GM’s. If you are not familiar with it yet, take a look around the site, there’s even a free trial adventure for you to play with. My business partner, Jonathan Nelson and I look forward to your comments and suggestions! I look forward to making cool and strange and mystical places for you! Cheers!
Seeing Rybalka grow would be nice, particularly some of the sites that are mentioned in the adventures. Even a rough idea would be good of, for instance, the docks, for when the long boats arrive. So many places to check out!
The WotC Map-a-Week has been sorely missed by yours truly. Todd’s maps were always a pleasure to peruse. Now I shall have the pleasure of doing so yet again albeit in a slightly different manner.
May I ask why you have chosen a subscription service to deliver your maps as opposed to a free ad supported business model?
Will you be selling these maps in the future as PDF “map packs”? If so will they be for sale on this site or adventure-a-week?
Todd, you are one of the greatest people i know. You are such an inspiration to me and others.. the way we laugh together makes my life so much lighter.. it is an honor to work with you and jonathan, and i look forward to spending many years laughing in your back yard in the sun.
My close friend is a member and he said this service is great with nice looking maps for printing or download. I was wondering if you get a discount for referring people ??
Thats a good question Larry, right now I do not have referral plan. I sure would appreciate all the good words you can say for my site though!
Have you had a chance to see Adventureaweek.com? Its a site full of resources for GM’s. Its got an annual subscription and a monthly. Both offer tons of cool stuff, the annual subscription is the best offer though. It has a soundboard, sound effects for your gaming! Thanks Larry for posting your comments, I look forward to hearing from you again. Cheers!
Greetings everyone! Although I have many maps in store for you, I wanted to let you all know that I love to hear from you and invite your ideas. If you have a cool idea for a map that you’d love to see someday, by all means, let me know about it. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to do them all but I will always try. Happy Gaming!
Hello again everyone. Today I created a generic map of tombs as requested by a subscriber.
I will try to include maps without text or tags for use as well.
Cheers!
The collection of cartographical goodness is already starting to look awesome. The Tower and Power House have got me scheming, am thinking there will have to be an encounter slipped into my current adventure path, lol.

Always loved Map-a-Week on WotC – was the one thing that kept me coming back!
I used to raid the map-a-week archive at Wizards.com on a regular basis!
i loved todd’s stuff from WOTC. is this stuff from WOTC or all new?

I was just admiring the work you did on the Village of Rybalka map. I love it!

Your cartography is top notch Todd. I can’t wait to see all the amazing maps on this site!

Yeah, I too would love to see the docks with various boats and ships moored there.

Sure, you can ask.
By having people subscribe to access the maps, we know:
1. The people accessing the material are willing to pay for high quality maps.
2. The map archive will grow in time thus increasing in value for the subscriber.
3. If any maps are freely shared via piracy we can track who stole the material
Yes, we (Jonathan Nelson, my business partner) are planning on doing map packs for sure, in the future! Thanks Nathan.
Hmmm….map packs you say?
Well, yes, that is in the works (MapPacks).
Your maps rock Mr. Todd! I love them!
Thank you Justice! You will always be one of my favorite Kindergarden Art Students! Keep on drawing and imagining anything you want Justice!

Your brother, Mike Antone
also, i would like to make a song for your page
What kind of music were you thinking?
i was thinking medieval pump organ, with weird cobweb lap steel cleeakkings……
Wow, thanks Mike!

Thank you Wes! That means alot to me!
